What you need to know

You can watch Sky Player live TV in your web browser on any recent PC or Intel-based Mac, with broadband from any provider. You'll need to install the Microsoft Silverlight 2.0 browser plug-in if you haven't got it already.

Not all programmes are available – parts of the schedule will be ‘blacked out’ until the rights are cleared and they are available to show online.

You can choose from three viewing quality levels – low, medium and high. The high setting gives a great viewing experience; you’ll hardly notice the difference to the quality on your television.

Picture and sound quality will depend on your broadband connection speed, your computer hardware, and whatever else you are using your computer for at the time.

Only one computer per household can be used to view live TV channels on Sky Player at any one time. Viewers must be entitled subscribers or members of their household – abuse could result in the suspension of viewing rights.

You must be aged 18 or over to subscribe to the service, and a resident of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Republic of Ireland.
